Assessment Centres

Research demonstrates that there is no substitute for this approach to recruitment. Assessment Centres objectively observe, and systematically measure, how candidates actually perform. At Unicorn, we design Assessment Centres to test applicants’ abilities in the specific competences required by your organisation and the roles you are recruiting for. There is no such thing as a 'standard' Assessment Centre. Some can last as little as half a day, while others can go on for three days or more.

Assessment Centres can include:

Exercises – these are designed to reflect job specific tasks, such as role playing an interaction with a difficult member of staff or customer

Psychometric Tests – these can be used to test ability or personality

Presentations – designed to test role specific knowledge and ability as well as presentation skills

Competency Based Interviews – questions are generated to test ability in the precise competencies required for the role
